In honor of the holiday on Monday, I’ve got a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Free Printable.
I don’t have to tell you what an influential man Dr. King was. His ideas and inspiration transcend his time. Of course we all know his “I have a dream” words and what an impact they have made. Those weren’t his only powerful words. I realize that his ideas and intentions far exceed my personal life and personal goals but I can’t help but be inspired by them to better myself.
Some of you might recall from past posts but I was pretty lost in life for a while, at least professionally. I think the way I best described it was I felt like I was floundering. My husband and I moved our family to Alabama close to his family. Since then things have worked out so amazingly. It’s amazing what has changed and how enriched our lives are. Things worked out better than we planned and just keep going forward. The MLK quote on the image above is very inspirational on my new view on life and following my dreams, even when I don’t know how it will all work out.
If you’d like your own 8×10 copy of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Free Printable above, download it here.
Here are some of my other favorite Dr. King quotes. Some of which I think are great reminders for recent events and even political matters. I won’t get into anything too controversial here but I think Dr. King’s words are a great reminder for standing up and most of all working for changes you believe in, in nonviolent ways.
“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
“The time is always right to do what is right.”
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.”
“The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.”
“Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress.”
I hope you have a wonderful day. Thank you for stopping by!
