Low / High Key Assignment

This week my assignment in my photography class is either a high or low key assignment. I think I am drawn to dark things because all of my shots have been low key so far! I am a dork and want to get my stuff right, because my class is a film class not digital so I can ruin my assignment if I am not careful. So what I do is take the picture with my digital camera and try to get what I am looking for and then I take a couple with the film camera and hope that they work out. I won’t develop this roll until Monday, so I am hoping my assignment will turn out. The assignment was to shoot something that has at least 90% low key (darker tones) and 10% of the photo can be in a higher key (lighter tones).

These were what I got from my digital camera, I turned them to black and white since that is what I will get on the film!
This was supposed to be a little creepier than it turned out but I like it!

I don’t know if him smiling is more or less creepy 😉

This is probably my favorite, it fits the assignment pretty well.

Our wedding rings! The metal provided a great highlight on this one.
This doesn’t work for the assignment and was one of the pictures I used to know I didn’t have my camera on the right settings but I just love it!!! I think it is so cool! My husband makes a great model and is so patient with me!

This one also doesn’t fit the assignment but Royce is just too cute!
