Hip & Simple Creativity

Farm Horse Pictures – Trussville, AL

On the Fourth of July, my coworker and friend, Renee invited us over for some food and to swim at her pool. She lives a little bit of the farm life and her property is beautiful. I have a fun project in mind for her so I brought along my camera to grab some farm horse pictures for that. I’ve never really been around horses but these guys were great and so beautiful.

Like kids, these big animals wouldn’t pose or listen to what I wanted so I just had to roll with it. Be flexible and try to capture the moment. They had just chowed down on some watermelon rinds (OMG it was the best watermelon I’d ever had), that seemed to help. This was very different for me but I really enjoyed it.

For a little bit of the day we got to live the farm life. Well really we just followed Renee around as she showed us her barn and workshop. The horses got so excited when she whistled for them and they kids enjoyed watching her get them food. It was great. And really was just enough of the experience that we are good for a while – no farms in our future. That’s too much work for us. We will just take these farm horse pictures and call it good. If we ever need any fresh air or a dip in a private pool, we know where to find Renee and her sweet hospitality. I’ll share the project I have in mind once it’s actually created but it’s another fun DIY idea!

Beautiful pictures. As an equestrian myself, I always appreciate a happy, healthy horse <3
