Baby Nursery Design Idea

We had our 14 week check up on Monday and the doctor couldn’t hear the heartbeat. I was freaking out because of how my doctor was reacting. She sent us to the hospital for an ultra sound and thankfully everything was okay. That makes 3 ultra sounds when some people haven’t had any at this point. This stuff is stressful! Other than that everything is going well pregnancy wise.

I have been searching online and especially on Pinterest for nursery ideas. I am working on a budget and have this plan in my head but can’t find anything like it so I decided to put it all together and actually use my schooling for something! I am loving coral and blue. Our current office is already a blue I really like and I feel that would work for a boy or a girl. I just need to paint the ceiling, trim and doors white, they are a tan right now but I really like the clean white look. I think what I have come up will be better for a girl so I will probably swap out the coral for another color if we are having a boy.

What do you think?

Here is the detail on the two side walls.

The frames will be a little different but I like the patterns and plan to just print and frame them.

Here are all of the items I included:

$149 Crib
$10 Crib Sheets
$50 Crib Mattress
$5 Paper Pom Pom Tutorial
$48 Dresser
$30 Fur Lamp
$10 Fabric Elephant Wall Decor Tutorial
$20 Gislev Rug
$159 Rocking Chair
$60 Rocking Chair Slip Cover
$48 2 Dark Gray Curtain Panels
$25 Nickel Curtain Rod
$30 Lg Frame – Wood Connection (not online)
$40 2 Med Frames – Wood Connection
$5 Paint for frames
$20 Pattern prints for frames – Walmart – Custom designed patterns myself
$20 Paint for trim and ceiling

This put us at around $1,000. I would prefer to find things second hand and refinish them, especially the dresser and the rocking chair and may swap out a few things for cheaper items so I may not end up with the exact same thing and hopefully bring down the price a little but I do want to end up with something similar to this look! I am totally loving it! Can’t wait for this little one to arrive!

This is adorable, I haven’t checked blogs for a while… but I am SO excited for you guys to be parents, I can’t wait to find out what you are having, and I love reading your blog!

Also, I was sorry to read about your fertility struggles. After our miscarriage and molar pregnancy we had a hard time getting pregnant and did chlomid as well, we got pregnant the first month too. and like you, I was a wreck the whole first trimester worrying. But, everything will be great, relax and enjoy the miracle of pregnancy!!

I am currently planning a nursery for my little one (due in May) as well! I love how you did this. The colors are great, btw. What program did you use or how did you build this display? I’d love to try something similar to see how my ideas will work together! I’m having a hard time visualizing everything!

    Thanks,

    Krista
