M&M’s Crispy Cookies

My husband was so excited when he heard that M&M’s Crispy were coming back! We searched high and low for them and finally found them the other day. We came up with these yummy M&M’s Crispy Cookies to celebrate!

M&M's Crispy Cookies

I’ve never really been a big fan of M&M cookies, except for a little grocery store near where I grew up called “The Store”. They are so yummy. I’ve attempted them a few times but plain M&Ms just don’t really do it for me. Since these crispy ones came out we wanted to do something fun and different with them so we came up with these M&M’s Crispy Cookies. I used our best chocolate chip cookies recipe as a base for this. It is so versatile and easy to mix in different things. These turned out fantastic.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the shortening and sugars. Add in the vanilla and eggs. In a separate bowl combine baking soda, salt and flour. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix until just combined. Fold in M&M’s. Roll the dough in 1 inch balls and place on parchment paper on a cooking sheet. Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden.
These are melt in your mouth, buttery and so delicious. I love the little crisp of the M&M’s, it adds a great texture.
Yields 2 dozen cookies.

I, for one, was super excited to see the crispy ones were back!!!! Putting them in a cookie is genius! Well, if they make it that long…those bags go fast around me!
